The American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC) is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for faculty and students to share their work and ideas during the Catalyze 2022 Conference, March 3-5, 2022, in Washington, D.C. Proposals for educational breakout sessions should be submitted no later than September 13, 2022.

 

Proposals will be considered in the following categories.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

  • Recruitment, Climate & Curriculum

Wellbeing

  • Promoting a climate of wellbeing

Faculty Professional Development

  • Retention, Leadership, Growth Opportunities

Research and Discovery

  • Growing & Retaining Research Faculty to Work in Collaborative Environments

Education

  • New Education Models, Outcomes Based Education, & Career Preparation

Post-Pandemic Reorientation

  • Increasing Capacity & Leveraging One Health Opportunities

 

The following attributes are encouraged for educational sessions:

  • Evidence-based presentations that examine research and survey trends
  • Presentations that feature interactive learning and/or small group discussion
  • Proposals from collaborative, multi-institutional teams
  • Incorporation of interprofessional perspectives
  • Proposals with an international or global focus

 

Before logging in to complete a proposal, please be prepared with the following information:

  • Please limit panels to no more than four members so that speakers have adequate time for participation.
  • An 800-character (max) abstract describing the topic, message, and intended outcome.
  • Submit three session learning objectives.
  • If there is an action-oriented takeaway, please describe it in one sentence.
  • Include 2-3 scholarly references underpinning the presentation topic.
  • A 2-3 sentence description to publicize the presentation in the conference program and app (for sessions and presentations only)
  • Preferred length (for sessions and presentations only) (30 minutes, 45 minutes, 1 hour.)
